Reflecting its position as one of the UK’s leading roofing contractors, Letchworth Roofing is running a series of seminars to help inform key players within the construction industry of the latest developments in roofing technology. The seminar programme started with a presentation and demonstration on Green Roofs that was undertaken in conjunction with Bauder, one of Europe’s leading Green Roof system manufacturers.

Over 30 representatives of main contractors, local contractors, facility managers and chartered surveyors attended the presentation at the Goldsmith Management Centre, in the Broadway, Letchworth and then saw a practical roofing demonstration at Letchworth Roofing in Works Road.

Commenting on the Seminar, Letchworth Roofing Chairman, Keith Crofton said, “The concept of green roofing is far from new. However it is only in the last few years that the environmental, ecological, technical and financial benefits have been fully recognised as more and more focus is placed on the condition of our planet. Letchworth Roofing has extensive experience of installing Green Roofs for a range of clients and we expect this type of roofing to be a major growth area.”

This will then be followed by a series of other continuing professional development seminars that focus on issues that make roofing safer, better and more efficient.”
