Letchworth Roofing’s policy is to formally recognize the loyalty of long serving members of staff within its existing Staff Reward and Recognition Programme.  Staff loyalty features greatly within the company’s values and ethos, and reaching the 20 year service mark qualifies the employees for a paid holiday for 2 people to an overseas destination of their choice.

This past year saw the celebration of 20 years’ service for Letchworth Roofing’s two employees Martin Crooks and Scott Mills.

Keith Crofton, Chairman of Letchworth Roofing said: “Both Martin and Scott have been highly valued members of our team from the day they started. They have time and again demonstrated their commitment to the company and have significantly contributed to its ongoing success. We were thrilled to celebrate their 20 years and are amazed how those years have flown by. We are proud of how many staff we have with long service, as their relationships with our customers create the culture of the business.”

Martin Crooks joined the roofing specialist company as a slating and tiling Ganger in March 1988 and over the years has been involved with both residential and commercial customers. Martin chose a 2 week Caribbean holiday in Jamaica with his wife of 20 years, Karen and his 16 year old son Danny, as his celebratory award from the company. Martin currently works for the Slating and Tiling Division of the company as a Contracts Supervisor and can see himself working at Letchworth Roofing for many years to come.

Scott Mills, 37 also reaching 20 years service, started at Letchworth Roofing straight from school in September 1988.  Initially starting as an Apprentice, then Foreman and more recently has been promoted to the Site Supervisor within the Special Works Division.

On reaching this milestone Scott said: “I utilized my 20 year service award with an overseas trip with my family to California.”
