TRAINING
Letchworth Roofing is one of the few companies with an emphasis on employing a well-trained, direct workforce. Apprentices are recruited each year to undertake a five-year training scheme involving CITB courses, with a strong emphasis on the achievement of quality workmanship.

Continued training of staff is undertaken to ensure good knowledge of changes in work techniques, safety and CDM regulations.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Legislation on corporate killing makes companies and organisations liable for deaths due to poor safety management.

Letchworth Roofing works closely with its safety consultants, The Health & Safety People, on:

	Safety policy and operating procedures
	Regular safety training and monitoring
	Guidance on Construction, Design and Management regulations
	Random on-site safety audits

High risks apply on roofing work, whether the project is large-scale sheeting or minor repairs to an asbestos cement roof.
